Clear signage for access and traffic-control equipment

Drivers need enough warning to understand a height restriction, one-way plate or speed ramp before reaching it. Barrier Shop supplies signs for maximum height, flow-plate direction, speed restrictions and related private-site hazards, together with posts and sign kits.

Position signs where they remain visible in poor weather, busy traffic and changing light. The viewing distance, mounting height and approach direction should suit the road layout. A sign placed directly on the equipment may not provide enough stopping or turning distance on its own.

Build a consistent sign system

  • Use the same restriction value on every advance and barrier-mounted sign.
  • Warn drivers before they become committed to a route.
  • Keep vegetation, parked vehicles and other equipment out of the sight line.
  • Inspect faces, posts and fixings as part of routine site maintenance.

Site signage should support—not replace—a suitable traffic-management assessment. Contact us when signs need to be coordinated with a new barrier, ramp or flow-plate installation.
